What to bring

Yoga mat, blanket, sheep-skin, water.

If you do not have a yoga mat, we have some spares for your use. Sheep skins are optional.

What to expect on the day

Each class opens with the Adi Mantra (Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo - 'I bow to the divine wisdom, the divine teacher within') and most classes will also include the Mangala Charan Mantra (Aad Guray Nameh, Jugaad Guray Nameh, Sat Guray Nameh, Siri Guru Day Vay Nameh - 'I bow to the primal wisdom, I bow the the wisdom eternally true, I bow to the true wisdom, I bow to the great unseen wisdom');

This is usually followed by some pranayam (breathing excercises) and/or warm-ups;

The Kriya (a set of postures in a specified sequence) follows;

A relaxation (a very important part of the practice!);

And usually a meditation with either vocal or silent mantra;

The closing sequence, which includes part of an Irish blessing ('May the long time Sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you guide your way on') followed by three intonations of Sat Nam ('truth is my name/identity').

About us

Prakash Kaur first completed her hatha yoga teacher training in 2002, but naturally gravitated to Kundalini Yoga. 'It's my joy to share this technology which is challenging for everyone but do-able by anyone'.

Jean-Michel David (Prakash-Seva Singh), as well as having taught sacred movement (choreocosmos and paneurythmy) and meditation for over 20 years, and coming from a family with various yoga teachers from various traditions, has more recently added KRI Kundalini Yoga teaching to his work.
